The Kentish Geordie with Welsh Roots (Married to an Irishman and Living in France)

Welcome to JAY D JONES MUSIC!  Jay is a singer/songwriter and producer who also collaborates with other artists in producing memorable music tracks. Her favourite occupation musically is to put tracks to video in a sympathetic style, preferably using scenes from nature, which she loves, or using family footage or retro shots, (as she also loves her family!) She has a varied interest in music styles, which incorporate many different genres. In the coming year she will expand her catalogue of tracks and videos, especially more in the rock direction, (her favourite style), and diversely, to incorporate many classical music elements into these.  She will also be venturing into the world of  music for sync licensing.

"Have you ever struggled with deep or traumatic challenges in life? I'm guessing that for the vast majority of people the answer will be a resounding 'YES'!

It's also is true that some people appear to have more than their 'fair share'!

My work translates some of these challenges into MUSIC VIDEOS and other musical content, whether they are personal to you, or touch nations and humanity as a whole. I want you to know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE. I also enjoy blogging and creative writing and use that in some of my content.

Do I claim to have gone through everything that I'm writing , so that I can translate that into music to help you? Well the answer is, pretty much, 'yes'. All that I'm writing. Your story is unique to you, but there will be common ground.

I started playing music early, (drums and piano).Creative writing at ten. Songwriting at fifteen. I gave piano up, to my regret, but started with guitar. There were many musical influences around me, and I loved so many different genres, from classical to heavy rock. I knew at fifteen I wanted to do music for a living, but this was also back in the day when music wasn't a 'real job'. So life got in the way. Like many of you, I ended up taking work I didn't enjoy, or some I did, but most which left me largely unfilled. I also trained in other professions (office work in civil engineering, which I enjoyed and psychiatric nursing-which I have only just retired from and which I didn't enjoy but which provided a wage). I did it because thought it was what you did. I brought up children. Mostly as a single parent.

Meanwhile, I used whatever opportunities came my way in order to support my family but still to keep music alive. There were years of music leading with children and adults of all ages, of roadshows and charity slots, collaborating with groups and other artists, choirs, both as a member and a leader and providing music activities to the vulnerable. Then there were the life lessons from which I draw many of my songs. Songwriting and recording were fitted in somewhere.

In between my other jobs there was finally music tech college and then university to study media. (Both of these were started seemingly by 'accident' but that's a story for another time). I also began creating videos by 'accident'. When I hired somebody to help me with what I wanted, it was too frustrating to explain it, so I figured it was easier to do it myself! I also got remarried and spent time in France, which is where I often spend time now. Which puts a whole new slant on things.

Some years ago, I never thought to fulfil that vision from my youth. That it was too late. That it was only for the young and beautiful. Then something happened and I realised that while many people may do this when young, I have experiences that may help people. It has been an uphill struggle, but if you are one of those people, this content is for you.

Now is the time that I want to share with you. Amongst others, I have topics to fit some current
difficulties. Such as Sacrifice, (war) Motorway, (purpose of life)  Can't help Loving You,(domestic Violence and custody Issues) and Time Gentlemen Please (Signs of the Times). Future topics include amongst others, HOMELESSNESS, MISCARRIAGE AND MISSING PEOPLE. Let me know if you have a topic you want me to cover. Meanwhile, much love to all. Follow me for more and help me grow!"
